Proposed 10 TX Constitutional Amendments...vote Tuesday Nov 8th

Texas House of RepresentativesRepresentative Bill ZedlerDistrict 96 Dear Friends, I would like to personally thank each of you for the privilege of serving as your State Representative. Working for the citizens of Arlington, Burleson, Crowley, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Kennedale and Mansfield is an honor, but more importantly, it is a responsibility which I take very seriously. This session, the legislature proposed 10 amendments to the Texas Constitution. These amendments deal with diverse issues such as ad valorem taxes, deferred adjudication, student loan financing, and the development or redevelopment of unproductive, underdeveloped, or blighted areas. On Tuesday, November 8, 2011, you will have the opportunity to go to the polls and vote on these amendments. Each amendment must receive a majority of votes cast statewide to be approved. For your convenience, listed below are details regarding how the election will work in Tarrant County and a brief synopsis of each of the 10 proposed amendments. I hope that you will find this overview informative and helpful. For additional information regarding these proposed Constitutional Amendments prepared by the Texas Legislative Council, please visit: www.tlc.state.tx.us/pubsconamend/analyses11/analyses11.pdf It is an honor to represent you in the Texas House of Representatives. If I may be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. God bless the great state of Texas! Bill ZedlerState RepresentativeDistrict 96
