Arlington TX...The AISD Bond Package..... Vote early now or by May 10th....

Short summary video from ARBOR You Tube: Why you should vote YES for the AISD Bond

Early voting info: Where to vote early: or city water departments

Arlington voters need to Vote now or by May 10th for:
1) City Council.... 2) School Board .... 3) School Bond Election.

Early voting sample ballot info:

1 of 2: School Sample Ballot

2 of 2: City Sample Ballot

The most important issue on the ballot in my opinion is the AISD Bond Election which is about money and a PLAN to keep our schools competitive for our kids. .

1) Academics and fine arts. Renovation / upgrade of existing fine arts spaces at each high school. Another big bonus is installing real science labs in all elementary schools, installing dual academies on both ends of town and a new District wide Fine Arts Center, seating for 2500. For larger venues the plan is to use UTA's College Park Fine Arts Center which seats 6500.

2) District wide Career and Technical Center. Plus renovation of existing career / technical spaces at each high school. Serves all schools to advance the students who will not pursue college and better equip them for a trade after graduation.

3) Economic benefits. As a Realtor who services this area, not just Arlington, a key benefit is the school system having a system that is recognized for excellence fitting the needs of the students both college bound and technical bound. Also the value of your home is in a way tied to the school district, improvements made to the school district will affect your home value in a positive way.

4) Safety, Security, and Technology improvements that must be made in a proactive way will include a technology infrastructure, wireless enhancements, additional internet access, security cameras, audio visual equipment to mention a few.

And if you are 65 or over, this decision is a win-win. You get the benefits of helping kids succeed and increased demand for housing in the district holding up your property values, but pay nothing extra on your school taxes because they are frozen once you reach age 65 as long as you claim the exemption.

I'm voting YES and putting ALL our kids and our community's property values FIRST. For more info see:
