Arlington, TX Park, Recreation Open House...

The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting two open houses next week to allow citizens additional opportunities to see the materials and interact with staff on the proposed projects and priorities. The open houses will be hosted in an informal setting, allowing citizens to come and go at your convenience.

SWAPO CW - Rush Creek Drill site a Gusher!...Athlos Academy!

The previous site for the proposed Chesapeake Rush Creek Drill site will be a Gusher for Education. The site located at Bowen Rd at Barden Rd will now become the Athlos Academy Charter School. The school will take about 18 months to build and construction is well under way. They will open with grades K through 8 and as their enrollment builds will provide through grade 12. Expected enrollment will be 1200 students. Barden Road will be paved out about 500 yards to the East from Bowen Rd and a traffic light will be installed at Bowen and Barden. Traffic flow was carefully studied and plans are to have the school entrance on Barden and the exit on Bowen so that the school dismissal time will have minimal effect on Bowen Rd traffic.

One of the advantages is, that anyone knocking on the door, it will send a signal to your cell phone alerting you. Advantages: keyless, remote, easy to grant access, senses vibration from a door knock or kick in.
