Summary of meeting; The city will start construction 9/8/14 and they expect to be finished in 75 days providing more traffic relief to the North bound lanes turning onto I-20. Also traffic signals have been coordinated to allow better traffic flow for both North and South bound traffic.

SWAPO-CW - City of Arlington Construction Briefing Meeting Notice - Bowen Rd 76017...

The City of Arlington's Department of Public Works and Transportation anticipates starting construction on Bowen Road, South of I-20 in September 2014. Improvements include a right-turn only lane for Northbound Bowen Road to access Eastbound I-20, storm drain modification, waterline replacements, sidewalks and pedestrian ramps. Ridgecrest Drive will be closed at Bowen Road during this period.

A construction briefing meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6 PM to 7 PM at International Leadership of Texas of Arlington Middle School located at 4950 S Bowen Rd, Arlington, TX 76017. This is a come and go meeting with the purpose to inform and answer questions as it relates to the proposed construction of the right turn lane.
