Arlington has a Neighborhood Matching Grant Program....

The City of Arlington is pleased to announce the Neighborhood Matching Grant Call For Projects. The Neighborhood Matching Grant Program is available to fund improvement projects that will beautify and enhance the public spaces in neighborhoods throughout The American Dream City. Sample projects include: public art, beautification, landscaping, sidewalks, traffic calming, and neighborhood entrance signs, though this is just a partial list!

Applications for this grant program are due by Tuesday, March 15, 2016.

The Guidebook and Application are now available online at Guidebook  The Guidebook contains important information that applicants will need to know when preparing their project and completing the application.

To apply, the project team leader must attend an Information Session. The scheduled dates are listed on the above webpage.

Additionally, your neighborhood must also be registered in the City’s neighborhood network (or updated within the last year) to apply for the grant. You can see if your neighborhood is registered, and review the registration form, at Register

Applications are due March 15. Our first Information Session will be held next Monday (already held) and we look forward to seeing the level of interest in the program.

Arlington District 2 Town Hall Walk and Talk with Sheri Capehart....

On this Saturday, November 14, District 2 City Council Member Sheri Capehart will hold a Walk & Talk Town Hall.

Start at Wimbledon Park at 9:00 am and everyone is invited. The park is located at 2300 Wimbledon Dr, Arlington, TX 76017.

Route will start going East to Racquet Club Dr then North to River Ridge Rd going West then South,  then West on Green Park Dr and back to Bowen and the park. Please join Sheri at any point along the route for conversation and beautiful fall weather. Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.

Arlington TX... A Petition - To change Stovall Park closure hours from 12am to 10pm

We need to show support for our fellow neighbors surrounding Stovall Park and agree to close the park at 10 pm and not midnight. The homes back right up to the park and are many times overwhelmed by the noise from a park late at night.
