The Texas Primary election date is Tuesday May 29, 2012 To see sample ballots go to:... Sample Ballot ...and enter your name and then you will have an option to see sample ballots for the races in which you will vote. At the poll, you will declare your party. The party you choose must remain your party for any primary voting for the voting year. In the general election, you will have choices from both parties. The Star-Telegram and the Dallas Morning News offer recommendations in most of the contested races.
